Munich! i am here for october fest.

after Dublin, we fly to Munich via easyjet. Munich, another historical city where most of the old buildings are stil keep in good shape. They must be putting alot effort to retain it. We have our city tour with the NewEuropeTours which is was free. The tour guides basically do not earn any salary, their income is based on the tips. A few hours of walking tour in the city which i also think is a good way to look around. At the end of the day, we(8) pay 20Euros for the tips. Is really up to u how much u want to give.

Destination: London via Kuwait airline

London, london here i come. I am taking Kuwait airline, simply bcos it was the cheapest air ticket that i could find. thanks to Mitm Travel fare. But abit odd for the time as the flight departs from KL to Kuwait abt 3.15am. Then have to wait at Kuwait Airport for 6 hours before boarding another flight to London. Well, another experience to stop over in middle east, as i never did before. Yet to find out the service they provide.

Different opinions ?

when i told my families, relatives and friends that i am quiting my job n decided to go UK for bagpack, everybody seems to have different opinions. Here are some feedback and comments that i received :

1. U really go ar, u gila mer.
2. Are u sure? why should u do such job when u are a IT professional?
3. U either follow her or forgot about her.
4. U go there empty hand, u come back empty hand, but u earn 2 year life experience or even more.
5. U are stil young, take ur chance to go see the world
6. What burden u have? Your house, just sold it off.
7. Apply 1st lar, Don’t care can get or not. Go or not decide later. Dun care, go apply.
8. It’s a good opportunity, you should go.
9. Are you sure you going there without any job?
10. You are so brave, willing to let go your things here.
11. What career u have in m’sia, u dun even sit in a room now, u are not a manager as well. So pls dun say u have career in m’sia which stop u.

UK WHM

my very own experience in applying WHM to UK.

How to apply
Visit UK-Visa website (VFS-UK-VISA). Read all the information provided carefully and decided on the category that u wish to apply (for me, I go for the Working Holiday Maker visa). Download the application form and print it out. I printed out a few copies for drafting answers. Pls beware that, there could be a small mistake in the downloaded form, where it could be 1 page missing. (I found out when I downloaded again on the latest form) So pls check through every page in the downloaded forms and make sure every page exist.

Preparing form and documents
Fill in the form “intelligently” and attached your supporting documents that will help in the application. What are the supporting documents? For my case, I attached original passport, latest 3months pay slips, my EA form from my employee, original bank’s saving account passbook, my mutual fund’s statement and my traveling plan. Both original and photocopy is required for submission (Yes, I did not attach my university certificates, but I submitted all the documents that could possibly support the financial status in positive way. I did not declare I have car n house.)

Where to apply
After purchase a bank draft of RM1375 (pay to VFS (M) Sdn Bhd) in Maybank located in Ampang Park, I went straight to the visa application center, level 19th floor, Wisma MCA, which is right beside Citibank KL. I was informed to fill up a form for the application submission while waiting my turn. Then, the officer browsed through the documents and acknowledges the receiving with another form. (Ya, so many forms here n there) Then I was told to do the electronic scan for my fingers in another rooms. Officer put all my documents in envelope and given me a acknowledgement slip where note my name, passport no and a reference no on it. Its done. (This slip is going to be use during collection day, so keep it properly)

Just 15minutes, the entire process of submission is completed. I think because I went at the right time where there are only few people in queue. The officer said “We need 3 working days to process for your application . U can check ur status online from the web-site by login ur date of birth and the reference no. In case there is a need, u will be called for interview”
At this moment, I already prepare for the interview because my gf was being called for interview.

Kind of not comfortable with the submission process, simply just because it was so fast and the officer did not talk much. I did not have much confident also as my age is approaching the limit.

1st day after submission ……login into web-site, status “You application is under process”

2nd day after submission …….login into web-site, status “You application is under process”.
I was actually waiting for their call for interview. What turns to be, my phone never rung by them.

3rd day ??…..is a Saturday, not consider working day….. status “You application is under process”
………..is a Sunday, not consider a working day but definitely is a blessing holy day. I check my status, I was so shock is been changed to “you application is ready for collection”. Wait, what does it mean ? Did I get it or not? How come the status is so confusing? I am even more worried now.
3rd day…. Status “you application is ready for collection”.
4th day…..where I am heading to the office again for the collection. Finally is my turn, officer return me the sealed enveloped.
Me : “what is my application status ? “
Officer : “Pls open the enveloped and check urslf for the belongings inside”

What a shock answer I got from the officer. I sat back n open the enveloped, look through everything, all original document is there. But there is nothing indicates that I got the visa. “Alamak, must have fail”, well, I flip though again and again n again, ya, no letter, no indication. When I was cheking my passport, “Thank God! Thank God!, I have gotten the visa” Basically it was no what I imagine, there is no letter saying “congratulations, u gotten the visa…….”
They simply just stick the visa into ur passport right away. Yup, 2 years visa is right in my passport.

P,s: my gf angrily said she is so un-balance because she had to prepared a lot for the interview process, but I simply just got the visa within 3 working days. Somemore my traveling plan is c&p, modified and simplified from her version.
P.s: later on as I read from some websites, if u received a letter with ur application, the letter is to informed u that ur application had been rejected.

Should I say is God’s willing.
